Happy April!

I can't believe it's spring already. It was like 75 degrees out today, which normally would be a great day, but it feels super hot when you've had 45-50 degree days for the last two months. Still, hello spring. This month I'll start the second round of edits on my novel and begin researching agents. I have a feeling that these next few steps are going to be incredibly time consuming. But I'm determined to start submitting "Surrender" to agents by the end of May. Here's hoping.

Simply cannot wait till you finish with Surrender and Arabelle Wild before you start on the Killing Series.

You're probably getting sick of me mentioning it, but I really wanna read it, again...

  2. Thanks!

I'm not sick of you saying that. :) I know I need to work on it, but I'm procrastinating because SO much work needs to be done! You might not think so, but that story wasn't that great (on a writing level). I love the story/plot/characters, but there's just a lot to do to get it right. What I really need to do is look at the edited chapters that I do have and see how much progress I made before. Sorry that it's taking me forever!

  3. I definately don't think so. :D

The thing I like most about the Killing Series was the characters. They felt so real and relatable too. I could put myself in their world and it felt great.
Of course there was that time when I really wanted to hit Caleb when he kissed that evil-first-love cow, and I really wish Es had... but I loved them.
And the plots were good too.

I don't really remember much about the writing style and I guess that might be a compliment to your plot and character because all I remember was loving it but I understand you wanting to make it better and editing.

I'm hoping another 7 months and I'll get to re-read it, I really hope one day I get to hold a copy of this series in my hands. :D

  4. Oh my gosh, I hope you get to hold the series in your hand also! I really love these characters too and I do just want to have the time to do them justice. :) Thanks for understanding. I just want it to be the best it can be.

  5. I just wanted to pop in and mention how much I wanted to read KM3 today!
For some reason, I love the drama of that book and how Estela tells Caleb to shove it after the incident (don't want to spoil it!) and how it all ends.
I'm so glad that you're still considering reposting it and I completely agree with Sammy- I can't wait to have a hardcover of these books (Better be signed though!)!

  6. Hi Colleen! Good to hear from ya again. Thanks for the message. I am still considering re-posting and I'm also considering self publishing (or having them available as ebooks through Amazon). I want to work on them though. The first one needs the most work, the others I had a little better handle on things.

I hope that one day they wind up in hardcover form. I hope this for all of my books. Maybe someday soon.

    Thanks again, Colleen!
