And then a year passes...

Today is the year mark of when I began SURRENDER. I'm not finished, sadly. I did finish my Nook edits today though, but now I just have to put them in to the computer. I'm having a hard time finding a rhythm to my editing. I used to come home and set up shop on the downstairs computer for a few hours. Now I can't really do that because the computer I was using belonged to my brother-in-law and my personal computer sucks... it takes about 20 minutes for it to really get going and I don't have the patience for that. I'm looking into a new laptop, but that's taking forever too. Ugh. The stupid hurricane really threw me off and that was like a month ago. There's no excuse. Wait... can I blame the new fall TV?! :)

I never did finish MISFIT. I didn't even read beyond what I wrote about last time. In fact, I haven't read much of anything lately. This isn't much of a blog post, but there you have it.

  1. Well, for your laptop can't you just turn it on and leave it for those twenty minutes it takes to warm up? That's what i do with mine, turn it on and then find something else to do while it gets all set up. Although what it really needs is a good clean out so maybe yours has the same issue?

and I'm impressed you got editing done using a nook, lol.

And did you see Supernatural last night? what did you think?

  2. Hey Jammi!

I could leave my computer for 20 minutes (I have a PC right now), the only problem with that is that I've tried and when I come back and it's STILL slow, I go a little crazy. Slow computers irritate me so quickly and normally I'm a patient person.

I did see Supernatural. I think where they're going with Sam is interesting, although it can't go on and on forever. I don't think that they should fix him completely, he should do it on his own. The whole thing with Cas and the Leviathan is interesting, but I'm not sure what I think overall. I really really really hope that the show doesn't get stupid just to continue for another season. I hope they're going somewhere smart with all of it. There's nothing worse than something going past it's time. What did you think?

  3. It wasn't bad, I do think Sam needs to start looking for Dean once things get really bad, lol, I don't know if I can deal with another 'where's Sammy?' type season.

I'm hoping it doesn't go on forever because that will get fairly tired. I was actually really hoping that once Cas went back to normal they'd go back to regular monster hunting while trying to fix Sam, end the series sort of the way it started.

I don't know, maybe they'll blow it out of the water with the Leviathan but I don't know.

  4. I was kinda hoping the same thing in regard to getting Cas back. And then the Leviathan came and I was like "eeeehhhhhhhh." So, we'll see I suppose. I'll watch the show regardless because I love it. I do want to know if they'll ever find God. I thought they might be developing something when he was in the church and heard his name whispered. I don't want it dragged out either. I hope they know where they're going with this.

  5. Same. I thought it was God talking to Cas at first and I was like 'please don't smite him.please don't smite him' and now that I see where they're going with it, I would've preferred some smiting as long as he came back, lol.

I will still watch as well, I love the characters and the world, I just wish they'd find a way to do some character development that doesn't possibly end with one of them experiencing hell, lol.

  6. I know right... Bobby will be the next one in the pit!!! lol. We'll see what happens. I'm a loyal fan. I just don't want to be disappointed. I wonder what angels will be introduced next. I really liked Belthazar (Right?... I feel like that's a "Charmed" character) and was upset when he was killed. We'll see what happens tomorrow night!

  7. haha, he was a character in Charmed. That was Cole's demon half [love of Phoebe's life]. And I liked him too, I guess they have to show casualties in war but still, they do a good job of making you like unlikable characters and then they just take them away. Like Loki/Gabriel.

And yeah, hopefully this episode will show us where it's headed.

  8. Wait, was his name Belthazar in Supernatural too? The guy with the sexy British accent who stole all the weapons from heaven.

  9. Yup, the british angel was also Balthazar.
