More Editing

[I need to post blogs more often!]

Today, I am going to start putting my hand edits into the computer! I was going to wait until all of my hand edits were done, but maybe my time will be better utilized if I do them at the same time. Morning hours: at the computer and evening hours: editing by hand in front of the TV. :) I have about 50 pages left. I feel like it's important to get more editing done each day since I've been applying for jobs. I had three interviews this week and if I find a full-time job, my writing/editing time will be cut drastically. It'll be like being in school all over again. Hopefully though I'll be able to get some writing done each day. So, that is my progress so far. Yay.

In other news, I have tons of reading to do. I have four books checked out from the library right now: "Halo", "Beautiful Darkness", "Crescendo", and "Unearthly". After I finish those I my tackle some of the recommendations a few of you left in the comments section on my last post. A lot of them were definitely along the lines of what I like to read.

I wish there was more to post today (and other days) but I don't want to bore people with too many "editing" updates. It'll get more exciting when I finally start sending this off to readers and agents. Hopefully that will happen in the next couple months. March is my goal.

Progression

So, I've edited 2 chapters of my novel. I've decided that editing a chapter a day is a good goal for me and will mean that I can finish hand-written edits by the end of this month. After that I'll put everything into the computer and will send it to a few of my readers for their comments and to agents. Wow... I'm pretty serious about it this time and that feels good. Maybe it's because I'm absolutely poor right now and would love to sell a novel and make some money (hopefully big money, but that's not guaranteed for a first book). Anyway... that's my progression so far.

So many people want Es/Moo posted back on Fictionpress. Believe me when I say I've heard you and I'm really close to actually doing it, but I'm still wavering a bit. Maybe once I get these edits done? I just wanted readers who visit my blog to know that I am considering it. I'm like 85% yes right now.

Hello 2011

Happy New Year everyone! Here's hoping for a lot of great things to happen in 2011. I just hope I can stick to my plan and start editing my novel. Lots of work to do, but I'm starting off the year with a positive attitude.
