It seems to take up a lot of battery life, but it's EXCELLENT for catching little things.

I like the idea of self-publishing something on my birthday, but it probably won't be this one. I'm not even sure if I have the time to edit something else. I think it'll take me a few more weeks with "Surrender" and then I'll want to do some research into agents. Then I hope to finish up my novella before I start working on book two for "Surrender." Ugh, so much planned. :)

I'm keeping on! :)Tatiana Moorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17743207459062225760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4218547351090693799.post-29701109200872303252011-07-23T22:58:18.689-07:002011-07-23T22:58:18.689-07:00Hey! How does editing on the Nook work? My friend ...Hey! How does editing on the Nook work? My friend is getting my an e-reader for my birthday and I'm trying to decide which one I want.

Anyway, keep working hard! I believe it will all pay off. Like you said... you never really put your all into your previous stories (which were all good, and fun, but of course needed work) and this one you are. So you know you are getting closer and closer to realizing that dream. You've definitely grown as a writer and it'll all work out for you in some way or the other! OOo... maybe for your birthday, you could self-publish the book (a lot of those often get picked up later... or you can enter it in the B&N self-published awards or something). You know you have everyone on FP as fans who will mostly buy and promote your book for you!

Anyway, keep at it girl! You're getting closer each day!B :)https://www.blogger.com/profile/01089006851744693127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4218547351090693799.post-12409971547675737252011-07-14T19:04:55.775-07:002011-07-14T19:04:55.775-07:00Hey Jammi! Hope you're well.

I think it does help that they're completely different things too.

I just finished "Graveminder." I thought it was pretty decent. I recommend it. I wish she'd spent a little more time talking about the dead and less time about the character's relationship, but she's a good writer. I might have to check out her "Wicked Lovely" series.

I haven't looked at those links in detail yet, but thanks for them. If I have no luck with the traditional publishing route (I'm trying to stay optimistic though) I'll consider self publishing/ebook publishing for all of my fiction. We'll see. I'm on the last 100 pages and then I have one more (minor, hopefully) edit to do.

Then I need to research agents. Still so much to do!Tatiana Moorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17743207459062225760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4218547351090693799.post-52387262158454116852011-07-09T15:59:38.811-07:002011-07-09T15:59:38.811-07:00Congrats on the job! I salute you for going from editing at work to editing at home even if it's different genres entirely, lol.

I want to read both of those books (especially graveminder) since they seem like they bring something new to the UF genre and I've been feeling a bit burnt out.

In regards to self publishing, I know you're probably only looking into that for the Killing series but here are some things to consider:

http://www.ilona-andrews.com/2011/04/24/on-ebooks-realistic-expectations/

http://dearauthor.com/features/interviews/interview-with-bella-andre-self-publishing-success/

http://dearauthor.com/features/letters-of-opinion/courtney-milan-on-self-publishing/Jammihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08762890797746556466noreply@blogger.com
